Catalog Overview

Furniture, and specifically Chairs, is our core focus here at Hilton Handcraft of the Ozarks.  Nothing says craftsmanship more than the items we sit on, prepare and hold our food or lay our heads down upon at night.  Furniture is an intimate part of our daily lives as we interact with it continuously.  Furniture is passed down from generation to generation (or should be if well-made) and that's how we make our own furniture.

While you'll see below only a few items, these are the ones we get regular orders for and are somewhat 'standard' in sizes and styles.  That's why we can list them here.  The vast majority of what we do is custom.  We'll try to show some of those here, too, just so you can see the wide variety of what we do.  Just be aware that those items can't be reproduced exactly.  And, in fact, some of them can't be reproduced at all!  They are exclusive to the customers that requested them in some cases.

HickoryLadderBack
Hickory bark seat Ladder Back Chair

Traditionally made ladder back chair.  This is what we specialize in, here at Hilton Handcraft of the Ozarks.  We use only hand-tools to create this chair.  From splitting the wood (no cut lumber) and peeling the bark to steam bending the back legs and slats ourselves, this is the Ozark Mountains finest artisan accomplishment.  It's a labor of love and is something we have been teaching and passing down.

It takes time to create these so don't be in a rush.  What you'll get will last generation after generation.  And you'll know the person, by name, that made it for you.

Price each:  $450.00
